Greg and Danielle Foley’s oldest daughter, Molly, has Rett syndrome. The Foley’s neighbor, Bob Fanelli, is the owner and operator of a Chick-fil-A restaurant in nearby Philadelphia. Bob, an outstanding neighbor and friend to the Foleys, wanted to support the search for a cure for Molly and all with Rett. So he and the Foleys launched Mac & Cheese for Molly.

Every Chick-fil-A store that signs up for Mac & Cheese for Molly gives ¢35 of every Mac & Cheese sold in October to RSRT. ¢35 doesn’t sound like a lot, but last year, with over 50 participating Chick-fil-A stores in the Philadelphia/New Jersey/Delaware region, Mac & Cheese for Molly raised over $100,000 for RSRT!

Those stores didn’t join automatically. They had to be asked. And that’s what the Foleys, with Bob’s help, did.
This initiative fits perfectly with Chic-fil-A's philanthropic philosophy which is a core part of its mission. Store operators are looking for philathropic opportunities to contribute to.

Take Action by September 15 to Make This Go National

Now we have an opportunity to make Mac & Cheese for Molly go national! But the Rett community needs to ask, in person, their local Chick-fil-A store owner or operator to sign on. Here’s what to do, and please do it BEFORE SEPTEMBER 15:

1. Look up your local Chick-fil-A store

Look up your local Chick-fil-A store here Find A Location Near You | Chick-fil-A Go to FIND RESTAURANTS in the upper left corner and plug in your zip.

2. Call your store

Call your store and say you’d like to come speak with the owner or operator about a charity fundraising opportunity called Mac & Cheese for Molly that’s already running in over 50 Chick-fil-A locations in the Philadelphia region. Tell them you’ll bring a flyer that explains it all.

3. Go to your store

Go to your store—if you can, bring your loved one with Rett; who can say no to our kids?? ! Tell them you spoke with the owner about a charity fundraising opportunity and you want to give them a flyer that explains it.

Even if you don’t reach anyone by phone, just go to the store and ask for the owner and hand them the flyer!

That’s it! The flyer tells the store manager what to do!

There are over 3,000 Chick-fil-A stores across the country. If 50 stores raised $100,000, imagine how much would be raised if all those stores joined in! But they’ll only do it if you take action. This is a big opportunity for the Rett community to really speed the research, but PLEASE ACT NOW!
