Dr. Paul Wang, MD, is a developmental-behavioral pediatrician whose experience spans academia, the biotech/pharmaceutical industry, and nonprofit science foundations. As an academic at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, he participated in the care of hundreds of individuals with autism and associated genetic diagnoses, and led a research lab that focused on language and memory development. While working in industry, he designed and directed some of the largest randomized, controlled trials to test new interventions for fragile X syndrome and autism. Now, as deputy director for clinical research at the Simons Foundation, Dr. Wang focuses on clinical trial design for neurodevelopmental disorders, the development and validation of outcome measures for these trials, and associated biomarker strategy. He frequently provides consultation on these issues to academic investigators and to industry.

Dr. Wang was previously senior vice president and head of medical research at Autism Speaks. Past roles also include senior director of clinical development at Pfizer and vice president for clinical development at Seaside Therapeutics.
