Alba Tull

Alba Tull is the Founder and Managing Director of First Light Capital Group (First Light), an investment fund that employs a proprietary technology-informed investment process and predictive analytics to trade public equities, private equities and debt. The firm also seeds female founders and entrepreneurs predominately in the technology and bio-technology industries.

In addition to First Light, Alba is the chairperson of Tull Investment Group, a privately held investment fund that manages an array of real estate holdings and interest in companies including Il Makiage, Coinbase, Crowdstrike, Genies, Pinterest, Zoox, and Oculus Rift.

Alba is also a leading philanthropist and chairs the family’s philanthropic organization, the Tull Family Foundation (TFF). Alba is particularly interested in advancing medical research and recently partnered with Stanford University to launch the Alba Tull Molecular Therapeutics Award for Innovative Medicines Fund to advance the development of cutting-edge technologies to cure rare diseases, including cancer. She has also worked with the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine to create the Alba Tull Center for Medical Innovation, which is a leading research facility devoted to the study and advancement of neuro imaging and therapeutics.

Additionally, Alba is on the board of directors of The Explorers Club, a professional society dedicated to the advancement of field research, scientific exploration and resource conservation. She is also a board member of the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation, the Pittsburgh’s Carnegie Science Center, The Rett Syndrome Research Trust and The Jackie Robinson Foundation. She is a member of Carnegie Mellon University’s Highlands Circle and is a life-long supporter of the United States Navy, where she is currently serving as the sponsor of the next-generation ship, the USS Cooperstown LCS 23.

In her free time, Alba is an accomplished, multi-disciplined fine art gallery and commercial photographer and film producer, having worked with some of the most iconic personalities of her time.
